Why I believe what I believe::

IF, the following is true, then it requires one to take the perspective that the message contained in the Scripture pre-existed other religions and was known by our progenitors, from the beginning.

Act 15:18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

Isa 40:8 The Word of God is eternal.

(The Word of God preexisted the temporal spacetime dimension.)

Forthteller::

Isa 46:10   Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand[.]

The Plan was put into play, “before the foundation of the world [cosmos]”::

Jhn 17:24 [F]or thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world[.]

1Pe 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you[.]

IF, Scripture conveys the truth, then humanity has an arch enemy (a fallen creature), hence we should study his tactics, i.e. “know thy enemy” (Sun Tzu).

It is my contention that we underestimate the power of Lucifer and simultaneously limit the omni-characteristics of God.

Considering the Word of God is eternal, and our enemy being of supernatural design (with magnitudes of intelligence greater than humans) has definitely made a quick study of the character of God and humanity.  Hence, the view that “landmines” of information [false religion] were lain throughout history, via emerging cultures, that parallel the eternal Word of God.  Lucifer knows the Word of God better than humanity.  In Genesis, we see God talking to the Serpent [], forthtelling of His plan to redeem humanity.

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy [Lucifer's] seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Hence we see the invasion of fallen angels corrupting the gene pool of humanity, in an attempt to block the Saviour from incarnating as per the plan formed before the foundation of the world.

The seed of the Serpent::

Gen 6:1-5 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God [fallen angels] saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.  And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.  There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.  And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Coded Universe:: In the Beginning There Was Information::

I imagine our world structure is much like the Matrix alphanumeric-streaming code that rained down, flowed, permeated, formed the world of Neo.

Hbr 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being[.]

Jhn 1:1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.

The Word of God formed the matrix streaming code that is the very structure of the universe.

2Cr 4:18  While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Evidence of Design: Beloved Numerologist by Chuck Missler

The numerical structure of the Bible has been studied closely, being the subject of numerous volumes in the past.1 But none are more provocative than the works of Dr. Ivan Panin.2

Ivan Panin was born in Russia on December 12, 1855. Having participated in plots against the Czar at an early age, he was exiled and, after spending some years studying in Germany, he came to the United States and entered Harvard University. After graduation in 1882, he converted from agnosticism to Christianity.

In 1890 he discovered some of the phenomenal mathematical designs underlying both the Greek text of the New Testament and the Hebrew text of the Old Testament.

He was to devote over 50 years of his life painstakingly exploring the numerical structure of the Scriptures, generating over 43,000 detailed, hand-penned pages of analysis (and exhausting his health in the process). He went on to be with the Lord in his 87th year, on October 30, 1942.

System Design of the Scriptures?:  Our Holographic Bible by Chuck Missler

Informational Properties:

The hologram exhibits some very profound properties beyond the three-dimensional image. In fact, it is one of the most profound means to distribute information throughout a given media. All of the information it contains is distributed over the entire image surface. One can remove a portion of the hologram without losing the image! Drill a hole in the hologram, and one can still view the entire object by simply moving one's eye to a more convenient angle (some resolution, or sharpness, will be lost however). Cut the film into pieces, and each piece contains the complete image.2

An engineer who is designing a communication system in anticipation of hostile jamming, or other countermeasures, needs to employ several critical techniques to be effective. In addition to taking advantage of available error detection and correction techniques, he will also attempt to spread his message throughout the available bandwidth. He will avoid clustering his message into areas which would increase his vulnerability to jamming or interference.

It is provocative to notice that the Biblical text evidences these same techniques. Where is the chapter on baptism? Or salvation? Or any specific critical doctrine? Every major theme is spread throughout the 66 books making up the total message. There is no concentration of any critical element in any single location. One can tear out a surprising number of pages and still not lose visibility of the essential message. (Some resolution or clarity would be lost, however.) This design intent of distributing the vital elements throughout the entire message system is even highlighted by Isaiah:

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: Isaiah 28:9,10

Forthtelling the End from the Beginning::

A Hidden Message: The Gospel in Genesis by Chuck Missler

A remarkable example of this can be glimpsed in Genesis Chapter 5, where we have the genealogy of Adam through Noah. This is one of those chapters which we often tend to skim over quickly as we pass through Genesis it's simply a genealogy from Adam to Noah.

Hebrew: English

Adam::::::::::::Man

Seth::::::::::::Appointed

Enosh:::::::::::Mortal

Kenan:::::::::::Sorrow;

Mahalalel:::::::The Blessed God

Jared:::::::::::Shall come down

Enoch:::::::::::Teaching

Methuselah::::::His death shall bring

Lamech::::::::::The Despairing

Noah::::::::::::Rest, or comfort.

That's rather remarkable:

Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest.

Here's the Gospel hidden within a genealogy in Genesis!

(You will never convince me that a group of Jewish rabbis conspired to hide the Christian Gospel right here in a genealogy within their venerated Torah!)

"The New is in the Old Concealed, the Old is in the New Revealed."

Two common “contradictions” often pointed out in Scripture, as a refutation of its inerrancy::

“Contradictions point to a deeper meaning – though not always immediately apparent.” Missler

Hence the need to take into account the totality of scripture, i.e. the “whole counsel of God”.

“Contradicition 1”:: Value of Pi::

Hidden Codes in the Bible: The Value of Pi by Chuck Missler

Numerical Values:

The Hebrew alphabet is alphanumeric: each Hebrew letter also has a numerical value and can be used as a number.

The q has a value of 100; the v has a value of 6; thus, the normal spelling would yield a numerical value of 106.  The addition of the h, with a value of 5, increases the numerical value to 111.  This indicates an adjustment of the ratio 111/106, or  31.41509433962 cubits.  Assuming that a cubit was 1.5 ft.,3  this 15-foot-wide bowl would have had a circumference of 47.12388980385 feet.

This Hebrew "code" results in 47.12264150943 feet, or an error of less than 15 thousandths of an inch! (This error is 15 times better than the 22/7 estimate that we were accustomed to using in school!) How did they accomplish this?  This accuracy would seem to vastly exceed the precision of their instrumentation. How would they know this?  How was it encoded into the text?

Implications:

Beyond simply these engineering insights of Solomon's day, there are more far-reaching implications of this passage.

1) The Bible is reliable.  The "errors" pointed out by skeptics usually derive from misunderstandings or trivial quibbles.

2)  The numerical values of the letters are legitimate and apparently can carry significance.

“Contradiction 2”:: Sunlight vs. Sonlight::

Jesus Lied. He Was Only Human - Debunking of the Christian myth. by CJ Werlemen

Also, "God Hates You, Hate Him Back: Making Sense of The Bible by CJ Werlemen

CJ contends, "God created light and darkness on day one and the sun and the planets didn't come until day four. So where did the light come from?  No Sun, no light.  Oops!"

Wrong sun, it's Son, the Light of the World.  God was the Light!

Jhn 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word [Jesus], and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Col 1:16   For by him [Jesus] were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Jhn 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Jhn 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

Jesus is the Son of God, He is the Light of the World.

"But when we examine [the Bible] illuminated by the Light that created it" ... it makes sense.

I assert CJ is willingly ignorant.  Because, if he really wanted to know Scripture, he would humble himself and read commentaries by contemporaries or those who have gone before.

Many of his absurd assertions, can be readily answered with a little digging and an open mind.

"When one examines a hologram in natural (uncollimated, noncoherent) light, it has no apparent form nor attractiveness. However, when one examines it with the laser with which it was formulated, a three-dimensional image appears. When one examines the Bible in unaided, natural light, it "has no form nor comeliness that we should desire it."3 But when we examine it illuminated by the Light that created it, the Spirit of God that put it all together in the first place, we see an image: the image of the One that every detail in it illuminates, the promised Messiah Himself." (System Design of the Scriptures?: Our Holographic Bible by Chuck Missler

http://www.khouse.org/articles/1999/230/)

Spiritually Discerned::

1Cr 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him [that is not born again by the Spirit]: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

God does not want robots::

If we don’t set a bar of reference (statistical confidence) for which we say something is valid.

We will never be convinced, no amount of evidence will ever convict us.

Hence, it is by faith, we believe (upon a bedrock of solid evidence; it’s not blind faith).

How does God authenticate His Word?  By writing history in advance, or forthtelling the coming of persons, times, or events.  This observation was covered earlier (see 'About' tag on blog).  "Declaring the End from the Beginning."  Setting aside the myriad of prophetic passages that have detailed persons, times, or events, that have transpired.  Let us review our current technologically advanced society.

(2Pe 1:19) We have also a more sure word of prophecy;

Reading Scripture is like reading the news headlines.

Here are ten trends, laid out in Scripture, demonstrating Him who declares the "End from the Beginning":

1. The Struggle for Jerusalem

2. Weapons Proliferation

3. The Rise of Islam

4. The Magog Invasion

5. The Rise of the Far East

6. Biotech & Global Pestilence

7. The Rise of a European Superstate

8. The Decline of the U.S.

9. Global Government

10. Global Religion

The distributed structure of Scripture -- "here a little, and there a little; [.]"

You see, Scripture isn't laid out in a straightforward manner.  It was distributed over time and space, to different individuals.  For whatever reason, and I don't need to know the exact reason, God chose to involve humankind in the distribution of his message.  And what is his message?  God loves you and wants you to love him back.

(Jhn 15:13)   Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Relationship NOT religion::

How can one miss the point, that life is about forgiveness, reconciliation, and a future.

Life is a test, to see how we handle free will.

To see if we will walk after your own lusts, eat, drink, for tomorrow we die. (2Pe 3:3; Luk 12:19)

Or if we will lay down our life, moment by moment, day by day, that others might live. (Jhn 15:13; Jhn 10:11)
